With a product named “UFO” and a streamlined design that looks like one, the campaign concept took shape quickly. The Universal Fastening Object (UFO) works with most solar panel frames. It arrives assembled, lubricated and has integrated grounding for a safer solar installation—requiring less parts and labor. For the 2016 InterSolar product launch, we crafted a fully integrated campaign featuring UFO-inspired logotype using the product’s recognizable circular clamp. Ironridge's UFO sold out in 32 days after launch and another manufacturer had to be found to keep up with demand. To this date, 50 million have been sold and 50% of residential roofs with solar since 2016 are secured with UFOs.
